Would you believe it!!

We went to Go Outdoors yesterday to get one or two things for the walk, spare laces, small torch etc., we were standing at the checkout and the young chap in front queried the price of the walking trousers he'd just bought.  Sure enough the cash machine had charged him a lot more than the offer price.  A huge delay and eventually it was sorted!   He apologised as he went to leave (not that it was his fault) and as a throw away comment, I responded, 'enjoy those trousers'!  He beamed at me and told me he was going on a pilgrimage!  'oh' says I, 'Santiago?'  'yes' came the reply!  'So are we!!'  'When?'  'next week'  'I'm going in June, let us know how you get on' and with that after we had each returned a 'Buen Camino' he'd gone!   Not sure how he thought I would be able to tell him 'how we got on' don't think we'll be searching the streets for him!  Made me think though of all the chance meetings we will have on the Camino, and all the other peregrinos we'll meet!
